Power and Energy Technology
Energy is the driving force in all of our lives and it has effects that can be positive and negative. This class is designed to develop in each student a knowledge of what Power and Energy are and how they are used. The students will study both renewable and non-renewable energy and their effects on the environmental. The students will be better able to make informed decisions about which energy source will be best to meet your needs. Approximately 70% of the class time will be devoted to designing and building projects. See the WIKI for this class..Power and Energy Tech.

Engineering the Future
This course is designed to introduce students to engineering and design. It has been designed to give students an idea
of what engineering and design mean and what engineers in fact, do. Students use the engineering design process to analyze,
build and test projects in the areas of transportation, manufacturing, communication and construction. Students complete
work in two or more of these areas each semester, constructing working projects while learning the role engineering plays
in solving problems and helping to make our lives better. Topics such as electricity will also be covered. The emphasis of
this course is to allow students to look at several topics and devise ways of improving their function, performance and/or
cost (engineering).
